Russ Butcher

Silent Warriors, the centerpiece of our home page, was authored in 2002 by Russ Butcher, a 1961-1963 veteran of Misawa, and was originally posted on the www.USAFSSinMisawa.org website.

The words of this poem honor all USAFSS men and women, those Silent Warriors who, for over half a century, were committed to tirelessly carrying out their global mission - on land and sea and in the air - in unquestioned and dedicated silence.
