April 1998 - Attraction at the Poteet Strawberry Festival. Julie, Jim and Tyler Calder with Tony and Edie Christopher. Soon after this photo, Tony volunteered to be hypnotized on stage. He was hypnotized to believe that he was the cartoon character RoadRunner. He ran around yelling Beep-beep and put on a great show! He later told us that he didn't remember the show.

c. 1998 - Jim Calder recalls, "Tony Christopher in his backyard. Tony had convinced my
gullible wife that they had installed a swimming pool in their backyard.
When we arrived, there was Tony sitting in his chair with his feet in the `pool`.
It was actually one of the small baby pools that holds about 6 inches of water."

I'm free ...
Don't grieve for me, now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me,
I took. his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I couId not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone.must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief,
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Tony Christoper and Christopher (Chris) Toney - They met while both
stationed on Medina Annex with the 6948th.
Because their last names were so similar, Tony kept getting Chris' mail.
In a narrow hallway, Big Tony encountered Chris and recognized the last name.
In his big voice, he looked down at Chris and said "YOU! You're the one!".
To which Chris quickly replied, "I didn't know she was your wife!".
After a good laugh, they introduced themselves and remained great friends until Tony's passing.
